General Assembly Technician

Location: Lorain, OH
Pay: $17.25/hour
Schedule: Full-Time
Duration: 4-Month Contract-to-Hire

Position Summary

PTS Advance is seeking a Refurbishment & Assembly Technician to join a manufacturing team in Lorain, OH. This role involves rotating between refurbishing and packing products while supporting daily production goals. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with computers, hand tools, and electronic equipment in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Rotate daily between refurbishing and packing responsibilities based on production needs.
  • Refurbish, inspect, and prepare products for shipment according to established procedures.
  • Assemble and rework mechanical and electronic components as required.
  • Program firmware, scan serial numbers, and print labels using a computer.
  • Use hand tools and electronic test equipment to complete assigned tasks.
  • Read and follow work instructions, quality procedures, and testing documentation.
  • Work closely with team members to meet daily production and shipping goals.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety policies and quality standards.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • At least one year of mechanical assembly or electronics assembly experience preferred.
  • Experience using hand tools and basic electronic test equipment.
