Company Overview

Sentry is a design-build general contractor with self-perform capabilities, delivering projects from concept through completion across commercial, industrial, manufacturing, and infrastructure markets.

With in-house divisions including construction, electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, and controls and automation, Sentry executes work with a high level of control over quality, schedule, and overall project performance.

Position Summary

Sentry is actively expanding into the Denver market and is seeking a Construction Project Manager to help lead that growth.

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of projects, work directly with decision-makers, and play a key role in how work is executed in a new and growing region.

This is a hybrid role based in or near Denver. Candidates will support projects locally while also collaborating with Sentrys headquarters in Watertown, South Dakota. Travel is structured and purposeful, not constant.

The Project Manager will lead projects from preconstruction through closeout, working directly with field leadership, subcontractors, and clients to ensure successful execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and overall execution strategy
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and all project documentation
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams across multiple scopes of work
  • Partner closely with Superintendents to ensure strong field execution and accountability
  • Track project costs, forecast financials, and maintain budget control
  • Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with clients and stakeholders
  • Identify risks early and solve problems proactively to keep projects on schedule
  • Ensure clean, accurate, and timely project closeout

Qualifications

  • 410+ years of experience in construction project management
  • Experience managing commercial, industrial, or manufacturing projects
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and cost control
  • Field experience or strong field knowledge required
  • Proven ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate multiple trades
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Experience with Procore or similar platforms preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively

Compensation

$95,000$120,000 annually, based on experience and project background
Additional consideration for candidates with strong project portfolios or leadership experience

Benefits

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Company vehicle or travel support based on role needs
  • Opportunities for advancement within a growing organization
