Sentry is a self-performing general contractor and full-service EPC contractor providing design-build and general contracting services across commercial, industrial, manufacturing, and infrastructure markets.

With in-house divisions including construction, electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, and controls and automation, Sentry delivers projects from concept through completion while maintaining control over quality, schedule, and safety.


Position Summary

Sentry is growing and actively hiring a Construction Project Manager to lead projects out of Watertown, South Dakota.

This role is responsible for managing projects from preconstruction through closeout, working closely with field leadership, subcontractors, and clients to ensure successful execution.

The Construction Project Manager plays a critical role in driving schedule, managing costs, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring projects are delivered safely and to a high standard.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage construction projects from kickoff through completion
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and overall execution plans
  • Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, and all project documentation
  • Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure alignment and performance
  • Track project costs, forecast financials, and maintain budget control
  • Lead project meetings and communicate clearly with clients, field teams, and stakeholders
  • Work closely with Superintendents and field crews to ensure project success
  • Identify and resolve issues proactively to keep projects on track
  • Ensure project closeout is completed accurately and efficiently


Qualifications

  • 4-8+ years of experience in construction project management
  • Proven experience managing commercial, industrial, manufacturing, or infrastructure projects
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and cost control
  • Field experience or strong field knowledge required
  • Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple scopes of work
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Procore or similar construction management software preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities

Compensation

$90,000-$110,000 annually, based on experience and project background
