Senior Estimator
Location: Columbia, SC
Salary: $100,000 - $135,000 base salary (depending on experience)

We are helping an established and growing commercial general contractor that delivers high quality tenant improvement and ground up projects across various commercial sectors find a senior estimator for their team. Their team is committed to building lasting client relationships while maintaining a reputation for excellence, innovation, and integrity.

Position Overview
The Senior Estimator will play a critical role in developing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project requirements, and ensuring competitive bids that align with client expectations and company goals. This position offers an opportunity to work on a diverse range of commercial projects with a collaborative and supportive team.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for both tenant improvement and ground up construction projects

  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and related documents to develop accurate project scopes and budgets

  • Solicit and review subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure coverage and competitive pricing

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options without compromising quality

  • Collaborate with project managers, preconstruction teams, and clients to align estimates with project goals

  • Maintain current knowledge of market conditions, labor costs, and material pricing

  • Assist with bid presentations and support business development efforts when needed

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in estimating within commercial construction projects over $3M in size

  • Strong background in both tenant improvement and ground up projects

  • Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Detail oriented with strong analytical and organizational abilities
