Purpose of Job:

The ABC Accounting Specialist supports the All Battery Centers in financial matters and helps improve All Battery's financial processes and procedures. These contribute to the department's objectives of providing financial statements, subsequent reporting, and quality audit documentation.

Job Components:

  • Assembles and reviews monthly financial statements for the All Battery Center stores and Interstate Owned Territory (IOT) storefronts.

  • Participates in financial, account, and variance analysis.

  • Provides feedback on financial statement elements to Regional Managers and Store Managers.

  • Coordinates with All Battery Sr. Advisor/Manager to resolve issues.

  • Provides internal customers with pertinent financial information regarding the All Battery Centers.

  • Prepares balance sheet account reconciliations and submits for approval using external software.

  • Provides internal customers with pertinent financial information regarding the All Battery Centers.

  • Creates purchase orders for stores' supplies and other miscellaneous expenses and submits to Accounts Payable.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-year accounting/finance degree.

  • Two years of experience with commercial bank statement reconciliation, general ledger account reconciliations, and financial review preferred.

  • Computer literate with knowledge and experience, including Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • SAP software experience is helpful.

  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.

  • Must be detail-oriented and a team player.

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Be able to recognize anomalies and follow up.

  • Able to work with tight deadlines and have a sense of urgency.

  • Must be flexible to change - retail environment.

  • Experience with retail software such as Micros / Xstore is a plus.

  • Interacts with external and internal customers, strong interpersonal skills.

  • Works as part of a team to service the ABC store managers, IOT storefront managers, and accounting management.

  • Understand the full cycle of accounting.

  • Time management skills in order to meet deadlines.
