The work setting for this position is onsite at a reputable hospital located in New York City. This hospital features advanced medical facilities designed to support effective pain management interventions, including modern exam rooms, diagnostic imaging capabilities, and therapy areas. You will collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, enabling a holistic approach to patient care and maximizing treatment outcomes.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' physical, emotional, and psychosocial conditions, utilizing your critical thinking skills to inform pain management strategies.
• Educate patients and their families on pain management techniques, home care post-treatment, and medication administration, ensuring they are well-informed and empowered in their recovery process.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary team members, adhering to established nursing guidelines and standards.
• Monitor patients' progress and response to treatment, modifying care plans as needed based on clinical evaluations and patient feedback, thereby enhancing overall patient satisfaction and outcomes.
• Engage in safety promotion and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, actively participating in professional development initiatives and continuing education opportunities.

This role focuses on a diverse patient population experiencing acute and chronic pain from various conditions, including post-surgical recovery, arthritis, fibromyalgia, and injury rehabilitation. Our goal is to deliver patient-centered care that addresses the individual needs and preferences of each patient, ultimately improving their quality of life.

• A current state-issued license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is mandatory.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required to ensure readiness in emergency situations.
• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is necessary, and a commitment to continuing education and professional development is expected.

• Prior experience in pain management or a related specialty, with an understanding of the latest pain management techniques and therapies.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient progress and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment, making independent decisions while maintaining a focus on patient safety and quality care.
