Design/Wire Harness

to join our growing team. This role is responsible for developing, testing, and refining electrical wire harnesses and components

  • 3D & 2D Modeling: Create and maintain detailed 3D harness models and 2D flat patterns/schematics using CAD software.
  • Routing & Packaging: Route harnesses safely through equipment, ensuring adequate clearance from moving parts, heat sources, and abrasive edges.
  • Component Selection: Choose appropriate wires, terminals, connectors, conduits, and mounting hardware (e.g., brackets, clips) based on current load, voltage, and environmental demands.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with electrical, manufacturing, and structural teams to resolve physical clashes and ensure "Design for Manufacturing and Assembly" (DFMA).
  • Documentation: Generate and update Bills of Materials (BOMs), harness installation guides, and engineering change requests (ECRs).
  • Technical Skills & Tools
  • CAD Proficiency: Experience with industry-standard software suites like CATIA (V5/V6), PLM (Windchill) Creo (Harness and Cabling).
