Come join our team! Mobius is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer

In this role you will utilize your expertise in mission/software assurance, system architecture, and interface design. The selected candidate will ensure the reliability, security, and quality of hardware/software systems, contribute to architectural decisions, and design robust interfaces for seamless integration across MDS platforms. This position is located in Huntsville, AL.

Duties of a Senior Systems Engineer may include: 

  • Play a key role in advancing the reliability, security, and performance of mission-critical hardware and software systems
  • Support mission and software assurance activities, including code reviews, static analysis, testing, and engineering reviews, to ensure solutions meet industry standards, program requirements, and best practices.
  • Help shape scalable, secure, and maintainable software architectures; assess objective evidence for hardware and software engineering processes.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to quality, security, and performance
  • Provide trusted technical guidance to program teams across the Missile Defense System environment

Requirements

  • Extensive experience applying hardware and software engineering processes across complex, mission-critical systems.
  • Extensive experience supporting hardware and software assurance activities, including quality, reliability, security, and compliance assessments.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess objective evidence supporting hardware and software engineering decisions, processes, and deliverables.
  • Strong professional communication, organization, and documentation skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across technical and program teams.
  • Minimum of 12 years of related professional experience in systems engineering, software engineering, hardware engineering, mission assurance, or a closely related technical discipline.
  • Prior experience supporting the Missile Defense Agency or related missile defense programs.
  • Knowledge of the Missile Defense System, including major elements, products, interfaces, and operational capabilities. 
  • Working knowledge of Agile engineering practices, including iterative design, development, integration, and test activities.

Education Requirement

  • Master's degree in a relevant STEM discipline.

Clearance Requirement

  • Active Secret security clearance.
