The Role

Manages team within Digital Customer Experience Platform Group. This position plays a critical role in 24/7 availability of the Lumen experience via multiple channels, namely Web Portal, iOS app, Android app, public application programming interfaces. Will work with Product Owners to optimize customer engagements and interactions to bring the value of Lumen to life for our customers.

The Main Responsibilities
  • Participate in planning, demo and retrospective sessions as member of Agile Scrum team
  • Manage development activities including strategic and tactical development activities to deliver the best in class experience
  • Manage key architecture components that are reusable, scalable, and extensible for future changes/enhancements
  • Identify and design key moments during complex customer journeys across major services/product transactions
  • Mentor others on the team by instructing them in the Agile process, reviewing their designs and code, and overseeing integration and deployment of modules they develop
  • Assist with point of contacts as requested by product owners within the organization
  • Create development environment for efficient testing and integration using fully automated Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery environment
  • Ensure that the quality of our products and the response times are industry leading and meet the highest quality standards through benchmarking assessments
What We Look For in a Candidate

Required

  • 10+ years full lifecycle software development experience
  • 2+ years of management experience of large enterprise products or solutions
  • 5+ years design and development experience in Java (Core Java, Spring, Web Services), JavaScript, Node.js, PM2, JSON and MongoDB, CouchBase
  • 3+ years of experience with mobile app development (iOS and Android)
  • Experience with Cloud Infrastructure from Amazon, Azure, GCP
  • Experience with Junit, SonarQube, Kafka, Grunt, Jasmine
  • Experience with source control packages such as Git
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to produce high quality, maintainable software
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills

Preferred

  • Experience in Telecom industry
  • Experience in Agile software development practices using tools such as Jira
  • Ability to utilize big data technologies such as Hadoop, Splunk to generate data driven Small Business experience
  • Experience with Advanced SQL/database programming in one or more of the following commercial relational databases: MSSQL, Oracle, MySQL
Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

Location Based Pay Ranges:

$129,639 - $162,852 in these states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, and WY.
$136,121 - $171,494 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, and RI.
$142,603 - $180,137 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
