Hilltop Holdings is looking for a Vendor Risk Analyst to assist in maintaining, executing, and enhancing our Vendor Risk Management Program.
Responsibilities
  • Perform functions related to vendor risk management:
    • Assist with due diligence reviews of current and prospective third-party providers to access risk and controls associated with vendor performance.
    • Resolve issues related to risk findings and failure of vendor to deliver documents.
    • Track, measure, report and evaluate vendor performance.
    • Keep abreast of latest industry, regulatory, and cybersecurity trends and issues.
  • Identify and evaluate operational, compliance, legal and strategic threats to key management objectives.
  • Conduct risk analysis to identify and measure the likelihood, impact, and tolerance of potential risk events.
  • Identify and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for relevant risks and processes.
  • Identify and maintain Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for relevant risks and processes.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and develop risk treatment plans for identified incidents with our vendor population.
  • Maintain an understanding of relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assess and monitor risks associated with critical and high-risk vendors.
  • Assess risks associated with new products and services.
  • Develop and maintain competency with key risk technology solutions including Venminder, ARIBA, SAI Global, Excel, ACL and PowerBI.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, risk management, mathematics, business or related field.
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Excellent PC skills, MS Office suite products.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with various levels within the organization.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent detail orientation, critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Displays excellent time management, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Must have strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision or guidance.

Hilltop Holdings' Risk Advisory department provides independent and objective enterprise and operational risk management advisory services to assist management in the identification, measurement, and monitoring of threats to strategic and management objectives. We apply a systematic approach to develop risk metrics, execute risk assessments, and evaluate loss events across Hilltop and its operating companies-PlainsCapital Bank, PrimeLending, and HilltopSecurities.
