We're actively seeking a talented Senior Actuary - Life Statutory Valuation to join our Enterprise Valuation team. This role is on-site 4 days per week and work from home 1 day per week in Newport Beach, CA,Omaha, NE, or Charlotte, NC. If you are not currently located near one of our offices, we offer comprehensive relocation assistance.


As a Senior Actuary - Life Statutory Valuation you'll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by helping modernize our Valuation processes and enhancing our analysis. You will fill an existing role that sits on a team of 6 people in the Enterprise division. Your colleagues will include FSA's, ASA's and analysts.


How You'll Help Move Us Forward:

  • Bring our quarterly reserve analysis forward with additional insights, identification of drivers, and explanation of movements for various audiences

  • Assist with quarterly valuation work in Prophet. Identify bottlenecks and propose solutions for further automation and operational excellence

  • Enhance our policy audit tools by building off of existing frameworks or coming up with independent ideas to satisfy internal stakeholders, regulators, and auditors

  • Work with modeling, data, reinsurance, other Valuation teams to enhance models, validate changes, and improve the overall modeling

  • Collaborate with and upskill junior members of the team.

The Experience You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, computer science, finance, mathematics, or a related field.

  • FSA designation

  • 6+ years relevant experience

  • Prophet, Excel, AI, Snowflake,

  • Knowledge of Life Statutory Valuation, VM-20 and Pre PBR Valuation standards

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
