What impact you'll have:

The Senior Test & Validation Engineer leads test planning, design, setup, execution, and reporting to identify bugs and performance bottlenecks early in prototype testing, minimizing costly rework and enabling more efficient product launches. The role also acts as a critical link between engineering, product management, and operations, translating system requirements into actionable test cases and partnering on troubleshooting, rootcause analysis, and continuous improvement of both product and process to ensure cooling hardware and control systems meet all specification, regulatory, and customer requirements.

 

Responsibilities:  

  • Work with crossfunctional teams to develop test plans, procedures, and acceptance criteria for cooling systems (e.g., air, liquid, immersion, and twophase solutions) based on product requirements and industry standards.
  • Set up test equipment and execute functional, performance, stress, and reliability tests.
  • Troubleshoot issues uncovered during testing and streamline test procedures to improve coverage and efficiency.
  • Analyze test results, identify deviations and trends, and prepare clear test reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate proactively with managers, customers, design partners, vendors, and other stakeholders regarding test status, risks, and issues.
  • Support lab operations, including setup, calibration, safety, and maintenance of test equipment and test benches.

Requirements and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in cooling systems and hardware testing, system integration testing, or a closely related field.
  • Strong criticalthinking and troubleshooting skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to document, analyze, and communicate complex technical issues clearly in both written and verbal form.
  • Handson experience with server hardware installation, test instrumentation (e.g., sensors, DAQ systems), and test automation tools.
  • Solid knowledge of heat transfer, thermal analysis, and immersion or liquid cooling concepts.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to safety glasses, nitrile gloves, work gloves, steeltoed boots, and lab coats.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and perform handson work such as fastening bolts and nuts, drilling, cutting, and basic fabrication; welding experience is a plus.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time during testing and to work safely around running equipment and fluids.
  • Highly motivated, detailoriented, and comfortable working in both independent and collaborative team environments.
