Salary range (but not limited to):

118,700 - 145,100

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. About the role

We're looking for a Senior Full stack AI Developer (Python & Angular/React) to join our growing team!
What you'll do here:

  • Integrate AI solutions tailored to improve the business' operational processes using technologies like FastAPI, ensuring robustness, performance, scalability, reliability, and observability.
  • Ensure seamless integration of AI-driven solutions with existing insurance operations systems, coordinating closely with IT, operations, and data science teams to align on technical requirements and deployment strategies.
  • Work closely with data scientists and analysts to ensure AI solutions are effectively addressing business needs by leveraging high-quality data and aligning with strategic goals.
  • Stay up to date with advancements in Software Engineering and AI, applying new techniques and methodologies, including the use of Angular/React for front-end development, to enhance the capabilities and efficiency of deployed solutions while also contributing to the team's knowledge base.
  • Own end-to-end delivery of features, including data pipelines, models, APIs/services, and front-end UI.
  • Use CI/CD tools and agile methodology to ensure fast and reliable delivery of features and updates.
  • Play a Technical Leader / Mentor role for Squad members and influence the technical roadmap.


What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum 6 years of significant experience in development.
  • Strong in Python for backend development and proficient in front-end frameworks like Angular or React.
  • Experience in backend development using FastAPI and proficiency in SQL.
  • Proficient in AI-assisted coding, including tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, and Kiro.
  • Experience with automated testing on the backend and UI and familiarity with observability tools and practices.
  • Proficiency with Cloud Infrastructure (ideally AWS), including services like Amazon S3, Snowflake, and BigQuery, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, IaC (Terraform), CI/CD, and observability.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate business problems into technical solutions; proactive, change agent, and collaborative team player.
  • Strong experience in using Git for version control, code review, and collaboration.
  • Ability to make complex concepts easy to understand.
  • Strong data engineering skills. Hands-on experience with Databricks technologies like Unity Catalog and Delta Lake is considered an asset.
  • Good understanding of GenAI building blocks: prompting techniques, agentic frameworks, evals, guardrails, RAG, embeddings/vectorDBs, model fine-tuning, graphDB usage with LLMs, MCP, reasoning models.
  • Knowledge of MLOps best practices would be an asset.
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism (FR-EN) is required due to frequent collaboration with English-speaking colleagues across Canada.
  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
