D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Senior Security Analyst. The right candidate will address daily tasks and routine processes as needed for IT security.  Lead efforts to address IT security concerns or explanation of results.  Provide expert knowledge on complex issues and delegate tasks to Security Analysts and Administrators.  The Senior Security Analyst will provide communication to other IT Operations teams or employees regarding the outcome of requests or security investigations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Active Directory Management
  • Domain controller maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Active Roles management and troubleshooting
  • Active Directory Federation Services
  • ADFS Server maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Working with IT Operations and Development teams with ADFS authentication
  • DNS (Domain Name Service)
  • Management of DNS zones
  • Management of F5 DNS VIPs and pools
  • Active Directory Sites and Services
  • Management of sites and subnets
  • Active Directory Domains and Trusts
  • Management of domain trust configuration
  • Group Policy Management
  • Management and creation of WMI Filters
  • Troubleshooting and cleanup of GPOs
  • Patching Operations
  • Patching research and preparation
  1. Research and obtain the patches needed to address all known vulnerabilities in all company systems
  2. Research the risk and value of each patch and report the "Company" risk rating based on all layers of security in our environment
  • SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager)
  1. Work with the SCCM administrators to address all patching issues and confirm that patching has been configured correctly
  • Patch Weekend Responsibilities
  1. Address any remediations that need to be addressed and ensure that all patches are installed on servers and workstations
  2. Validate that all applications for IT security are functioning as designed and intended at the conclusion of patching.
  • Forensic Operations
  • Security Monitoring
  1. Isolation and outbreak prevention of infected company systems
  2. Mitigate and block DDoS and other network attacks as needed
  • Forensic Investigation
  • Investigate the root cause of compromise incidents or exploited vulnerabilities
  • Investigate infrastructure weaknesses and report on malicious activity or potential risk
  • Project Operations
  • Partner with other security or IT operations team members for deployments or maintenance
  • Architect, plan and implement IT security projects assigned 
  • Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
  • Ability to participate in a weekly call rotation
  • Anility to travel overnight
  • IT Operations 
    • Monitor and assist with any and all IT operational emergencies to keep business applications operational
    • Assist with any or all IT operational tasks 
  • On-Call Responsibilities 
    • Complete a weekly rotation assigned schedule of on-call response duties that include Active Directory Management, Forensic Operations and IT Operations as needed
  • Mentoring and Training 
    • Responsible for the mentoring of Security Analysts and Security Administrators
    • Training of all team members for learned tasks relative to the list of duties
  • Projects 
    • Writing, assigning and deployment of IT security projects
    • Contribute to project delegation or assign projects as required
    • Update senior members or managers of project status
  • Business Communication 
    • Aid in response to escalated issues from Security Analysts or Administrators
    • Provide detailed explanation of technical results of investigations or outcomes to incidents

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Three to five years' experience in an IT related field
  • Advanced knowledge of IT Security Operations and Forensic Operations
  • Advanced knowledge of IT Networking and Network Security Operations
  • Advanced knowledge of IT Infrastructure and Applications
  • Advanced knowledge of Cyber Attackers and Threat Actor tactics
  • Advanced experience of project management and delegation
  • Advanced business communication and collaboration skills 
  • Advanced Documentation skills
  • Ability to work with teammates on projects
  • Ability to work alone and accomplish tasks independently
