Job description

The Leidos National Airspace Systems Integration Support (NISC) Program is looking for a Business Process Analyst to support the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Office of Aviation Policy and Plans (APO).

APO produces aviation forecasts, economic studies, strategic planning guidance, and evaluates the economics of proposed and existing regulatory requirements. With a strong analytical foundation, APO provides the agency, the Department of Transportation, the American public, and the international aviation community with unique and unparalleled insights into the most pressing issues confronting aviation.

We are seeking a talented and energetic candidate to work with the best and brightest employees around the country in creating innovative all-encompassing solutions for our programs. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide programmatic and business operations support necessary for the planning and execution of various APO initiatives.
  • Support development of implementation frameworks, schedules, risk assessments, and reporting materials that enable effective decision-making.
  • Directly responsible for the development and finalization of all documents delivered to the Chief Administrative Officer, internal and external stakeholders, as well as Congressional hearings.
  • Support executives and technical actions for the FAA Administrators, management team, and staff-including logistical support, administrative briefings, and urgent action items.
  • Prepare and finalize briefings on current projects as well as matters of high visibility to support FAA's senior leadership with evidence-based decision making.
  • Edit and review documents for consistency and content prior to finalization and routing for manager approvals.
  • Provide technical editing support in developing, reviewing, editing correspondence, reports, orders, directives, etc.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a BA degree and 4 + years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 + years of prior relevant experience.
  • Ability to communicate to various levels of management, with the capacity to multi-task, strong organizational skills, advanced budget development and adherence experience, and ability to organize and present at meetings consisting of agency and external stakeholders with a broad range of specialties and interests including members from professional aviation organizations are required.
  • While no clearance is required to apply, you must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Security Clearance to be hired.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working in federal government contracting.
  • Working knowledge of FAA systems.
