About Salesforce
Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn't a buzzword - it's a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.
Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You're in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.
Role Overview
The Senior Writer & Editor role is part of the Creative team within User Experience & Creative Design (UXCD) and supports the Digital Success organization within the broader Customer Success ecosystem.
This isn't a narrow copyediting position, it's a hybrid editorial and writing role that shapes how customers experience Agentforce and Salesforce products across every touchpoint: written, visual, and conversational.
You'll work at the intersection of design and strategy. On any given week, you might be polishing UX copy for a new feature, writing and editing an email campaign, crafting how-to video scripts, or leading editorial reviews on a cross-functional initiative with product managers, UX designers, and creative strategists. You'll also help define our quality standards by contributing to and enforcing style guide rules and using AI tools to scale reviews for speed and consistency.
This role suits someone who thrives on variety and ownership. You won't just execute assignments. You'll often be the editorial voice in the room, making judgment calls on tone, clarity, and customer experience, and coordinating review cycles that touch everyone from individual writers to exec-level stakeholders. The work moves fast and our processes evolve with the pace of work, so you'll need to be comfortable building structure as you go, not just following an existing playbook.
Responsibilities:
  • Write and edit video scripts for product how-to and campaign videos, incorporating stakeholder feedback across multiple review rounds and partnering with video production, product managers, and business stakeholders.
  • Incorporate script edits during video production to ensure the final video flows well and is aligned to the creative brief.
  • Conduct pre-production video reviews to ensure clarity and on-screen copy accuracy.
  • Edit and revise Knowledge Articles for structure, clarity, and customer flow, partnering with stakeholders through multiple rounds of review before publishing.
  • Review email strategy briefs and partner with content strategists to align on copy direction before drafting.
  • Write all email copy components - subject lines, preheaders, headlines, body copy, and CTAs - using established templates and style standards
  • Manage the full email copy review cycle: internal cross-modality review, up to two rounds of stakeholder feedback, and delivery of final comment-resolved copy documents.
  • Write and edit content for executive-facing slide decks, Salesforce Innovation Center (SIC) presentations, and event content.
  • Write and edit UX copy across in-product experiences, including microcopy, error messages, and CTAs.
  • Maintain and contribute to shared editorial resources for UXCD and Digital Success through cross-functional partnership with other editorial teams at Salesforce.
  • Ensure content meets accessibility and plain-language standards appropriate for a global audience, while aligning to Salesforce brand guidelines for voice and tone.
  • Participate in testing and refining internal editorial tooling, including Gemini Gems and Slackbot Skills.
  • Review work from peers and external creative partners to ensure it meets UXCD quality standards.

Please include a portfolio of 1-2 editorial projects with details of your direct contributions with your application.
Qualifications:
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in an editorial role, tech or marketing preferred, with demonstrated expertise across multiple content types.
  • BA in English or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience applying rules from guides like the Microsoft Style Writing guide or AP Stylebook, and defending your editorial decisions to stakeholders.
  • Ability to research information, navigate ambiguity, and make a solid editorial decision.
  • Experience providing content feedback to non-editorial stakeholders in a kind and professional manner.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams (e.g. customer success, engineering, design, product management, and marketing).
  • Excellent project management, communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to quickly grasp technological and business concepts and translate them into plain language for customers.
  • Ability to tailor content to audiences and personas and apply Salesforce tone and voice appropriately.
  • Acumen for process and documentation.
  • Google Workspace experience, especially Google Docs and Google Slides.
  • Basic AI proficiency to generate, fact-check, and refine draft content.
