What does an editor do?

An editor is responsible for reviewing, revising, and refining written content to ensure it is clear, accurate, and engaging. Editors check for grammar, punctuation, and spelling errors, as well as consistency in style and tone. • The Editing Edge: Demonstrated mastery of non-linear video editing software within a high-pressure, daily news environment.

  • Digital Organization: Exceptional digital file management and structural organization skills.

  • Communication & Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with producers, writers, and technical staff during breaking news.
