Job Description:

The Senior Business Analyst has the primary responsibility to elicit, analyze, validate, specify, verify and manage the business requirement needs of the project. He/she will also participate in testing, implementation and support phases of the project.

In this role, you are required to gain an understanding of complex systems, dedicatedly analyze business processes, and improve the current digital properties, including branded customer-facing websites and internal IT applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for creation and execution of detailed documentation of business requirements, processes, solutions and test plans and scripts.

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to elicit business needs and priorities.

  • Document the following requirements:

    • Business requirements

    • Functional requirements

    • User stories

    • Test plans/scripts

  • Partner with UX/UI team to translate requirements into design documents.

  • Coordinate and Partner with Functional Analyst to deliver functional specs to the development team using existing templates to translate business needs to blueprints for development.

  • Maintain documentation and write new documentation as needed, working with the development and business teams.

  • Work with technical resources to translate business requirements into technical terms.

  • Understand and can explain the benefits of, and how to use, marketing technologies including content management, merchandising, loyalty, campaign, and other automated marketing platforms.

  • Lead requirements review sessions to ensure final requirements are understood by all affected team members. Make adjustments as necessary to ensure clarity. Obtain final sign-off from all stakeholders.

  • Facilitate internal client acceptance and testing as needed, including building out new sites, creating test scripts, capturing defects, and advising clients on methodologies.

  • Participate in testing and validating new systems and processes to meet business requirements.

  • Execute, coordinate and assist to monitor the execution of all aspects of UAT testing according to the agreed test plan.

  • Elevate defects and issues to development team for concurrence.

  • Raising defects during execution and logging the same into QC.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to ongoing optimization efforts.

  • Experience leading backlog refinement sessions and partnering with development teams and the Business throughout the project lifecycle to answer requirements questions and unblock implementation.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience gathering and documenting Business and Functional Requirements Documentation

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience with User Story Documentation

  • Experience working with Agile Delivery Methodologies

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience facilitating User Acceptance Testing

  • Demonstrated experience with website development, content management systems, and marketing automation platforms or similar technical skill set is required

Preferred:

  • CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or PMI-PBA (Professional in Business Analysis) certification is a plus

  • Digital Agency experience is a plus
