Job description

Responsibilities
We are seeking a Senior System Administrator to provide enterprise-focused engineering support to a Government Customer. You will provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems; provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems; and manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
You will also provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems; provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems; provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.; provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers; and optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
Additionally, you will provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems; detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets; and support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process. You will also configure and manage UNIX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems and install/load operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance. #MDFSP #AJCM
Qualifications
Individual Capabilities/Experience Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university and ten (10) years' experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level I certification or higher is required.
  • Additional Domain Experience:
    • Computer Network Operations - Must have at least three (3) years of demonstrated experience in Modern operating systems and network architectures.
    • Information Assurance - Must have at least three (3) years of demonstrated experience in certification and accreditation. Architecture development and design. Risk Assessments. IA Metrics gathering.
  • Ability to work independently and in groups to complete tasks bounded by constraints.
  • Position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Individual Capabilities/Experience Desired:
  • Strong writing and communication skills.

Target Salary Range
$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
