About the Opportunity
Our client is a well-established and growing surveying and geomatics organization seeking an experienced Survey Project Manager to join its South Florida team. This is a leadership position responsible for overseeing survey projects, managing technical staff, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring successful project delivery from proposal through final completion.
This role is ideal for a land surveying professional who combines strong technical expertise with project management and leadership experience.
What You'll Be Doing
Project Management
  • Manage multiple land surveying projects simultaneously
  • Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
  • Monitor project progress, profitability, and deliverables
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Coordinate project transitions between departments and field teams
Team Leadership
  • Lead Survey Coordinators, CAD Technicians, Surveyors, and Field Personnel
  • Allocate workload and resources effectively
  • Mentor and develop team members
  • Establish performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback
  • Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and quality
Client Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients
  • Maintain and strengthen existing client relationships
  • Assist with business development and client growth initiatives
  • Prepare proposals, scopes of work, and fee estimates
  • Participate in professional organizations and industry events
Technical Oversight
  • Review survey deliverables, reports, plats, and mapping products

Qualifications
Required Experience
  • Extensive land surveying experience
  • Previous project management experience within surveying

Technical Requirements
  • Civil 3D
  • AutoCAD
  • MicroStation
  • Trimble equipment and software
  • Leica equipment experience is a plus
  • Strong understanding of boundary, ALTA, topographic, utility, and land development surveys
Licensing
  • Florida Professional Surveyor & Mapper (PSM) License preferred
  • Candidates pursuing Florida licensure will also be considered
Please Note: Candidates whose backgrounds are primarily construction staking or construction surveying without broader land surveying experience may not be the ideal fit.

Base Salary
$95,000 - $150,000+ (Based on experience, project management background, and licensure)
