Job description

Job Title: Senior Structural Design Engineer (PE/SE)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Structural Design Engineer to provide high-level technical expertise for our most complex industrial and infrastructure projects. You will be an integral part of our multidisciplinary team, driving structural concepts from early-stage feasibility studies through to detailed design and construction-phase oversight.
This is a dynamic, high-impact role for a licensed engineer who enjoys the balance of analytical design and on-site reality. You will work on sophisticated projects that push the boundaries of structural engineering, requiring strong communication skills to lead client presentations, coordinate with consultants, and manage the technical delivery of large-scale construction packages. If you are passionate about the "art and science" of building, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Structural Design & Lifecycle Management
โ€ข Technical Design: Develop complex design concepts and structural analyses for industrial and high-complexity facilities. Oversee the production of high-quality construction drawing packages in Steel and Concrete.
โ€ข Full-Project Delivery: Lead structural contributions across all phases of the design cycle-from schematic design and site analysis to construction administration and post-construction client engagement.
โ€ข Analytical Oversight: Utilize structural analysis software (e.g., Staad) to ensure design integrity. Review submittals, respond to RFIs, and perform site visits to ensure structural outcomes align with the design intent.
Collaboration & Client Leadership
โ€ข Multidisciplinary Coordination: Act as a key technical liaison between structural, architectural, and MEP teams. Manage consultant relationships to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget.
โ€ข Client Engagement: Lead or participate in client presentations and project meetings. Translate complex technical data into clear strategies for stakeholders.
โ€ข Problem Solving: Apply innovative thinking to resolve complex structural challenges. Manage competing project priorities while maintaining a high standard of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
โ€ข Licensure: PE and/or SE license is required.
โ€ข Experience Baseline: Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in structural design.
โ€ข Technical Mastery: Hands-on experience with structural analysis software (e.g., Staad) and professional proficiency in steel/concrete design.
โ€ข Lifecycle Experience: Familiarity with preparing construction documents and coordinating deliverables through all project phases.
โ€ข Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills; comfortable presenting to clients and coordinating large project teams.
Preferred Attributes
โ€ข Experience with BIM/Revit and Navisworks-we value engineers who think and coordinate in 3D.
โ€ข A portfolio showcasing innovative or high-complexity structural projects.
โ€ข A "forward-thinking" mindset-someone who is eager to implement best practices and contribute new, innovative ideas to our structural engineering standards.
