Job Title: Structural Engineer (Industrial & Advanced Facilities)
Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Structural Engineering Professional to join our high-performing design team. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the analysis and design of complex structural systems for large-scale industrial and advanced manufacturing facilities. You will collaborate closely with Lead Engineers and multi-disciplinary designers to develop innovative design concepts and translate structural requirements into precise 3D models and construction documents. This is a high-growth opportunity for an engineer who takes ownership of their work, possesses a strong technical foundation, and is eager to tackle sophisticated engineering challenges in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
โข Analysis & Design: Perform conventional structural engineering analysis and design for steel and concrete structures, ensuring compliance with building codes and project-specific requirements.
โข Lateral Systems: Develop expertise in lateral analysis and design, including the application of wind and seismic provisions according to IBC and ASCE standards.
โข Quality & Technical Rigor: Maintain a high level of attention to detail by performing self-checks and peer reviews of engineering calculations to ensure technical accuracy and quality control.
โข BIM Coordination: Partner with designers to communicate structural requirements effectively within the project model (Revit/Navisworks) and design documents.
โข Project Ownership: Take full responsibility for assigned structural scopes, managing your workload to meet strict schedule, budget, and quality benchmarks.
โข Proactive Problem Solving: Take initiative to define ill-defined project conditions and forecast the level of effort required to complete technical tasks.
โข Cross-Functional Collaboration: Actively engage with other engineering disciplines to understand how structural design integrates with and impacts the broader facility ecosystem.
Qualifications & Requirements
โข Education: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (Emphasis in Structural Engineering). A Master's degree is preferred.
โข Certification: Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is required.
โข Experience:
โข Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in structural engineering.
โข Hands-on experience with US building codes, including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC.
โข Experience with structural analysis software and tools such as Navisworks and Bluebeam.
โข Preferred Experience: Design and analysis of traditional steel and concrete structures within industrial or semiconductor manufacturing environments.
โข Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to collaborate in a team-centric environment.
โข Remote Readiness: Ability to provide reliable internet service and manage performance requirements from a home office within the specified geographic regions.
