About the Role

As a Senior SDET based in Framingham, you will help define and build Bose's cloud quality engineering strategy for AWS-based platforms and distributed services.

This is a hands-on build-and-lead role. You will design scalable test infrastructure, improve automation coverage, and embed quality into CI/CD pipelines and cloud development workflows.

You will work closely with Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Release Engineering, and Software teams to improve reliability, reduce defects, and enable faster, safer releases.

What You'll Do
  • Design and build scalable automation frameworks for API, integration, system, regression, and performance testing
  • Develop reusable validation infrastructure for cloud-native services, microservices, and event-driven systems
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines with clear quality gates and failure triage workflows
  • Partner with DevOps to improve pipeline speed, parallelization, and infrastructure efficiency
  • Define and track metrics for automation coverage, test reliability, release confidence, and defect detection
  • Lead test strategy for AWS-hosted services and production-readiness validation
  • Drive defect triage and root cause analysis using logs, telemetry, and observability tools
  • Improve test environment setup, service mocking, test data management, and reporting
  • Establish automation standards and best practices across engineering teams
  • Mentor engineers and promote high-quality, maintainable test code
What You BringExperience & Technical Depth
  • 10+ years of experience in software quality engineering, SDET, or test automation
  • Strong experience testing cloud-native platforms, distributed systems, microservices, and APIs
  • Proven success building or scaling automation frameworks from the ground up
  • Strong programming skills in Python; experience with Java or C++ is a plus
  • Experience with integration, system, regression, performance, load, and scale testing
  • Strong debugging, defect triage, and root cause analysis skills
AWS & Cloud Expertise
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services such as:
    • Lambda
    • S3
    • CloudWatch
    • IAM
  • Experience validating cloud workloads running in Docker and Kubernetes
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architectures
  • Experience using observability and monitoring tools for cloud diagnostics and reliability analysis
