Job Description – SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test)

 

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled SDET / QA Automation Engineer with strong programming and automation expertise to drive quality engineering practices. The candidate will design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks and ensure end-to-end quality across UI, API, and backend systems.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing ,
  • Develop and execute automated test cases for functional, regression, and integration testing
  • Perform API testing using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and architects to ensure quality-first delivery
  • Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
  • Implement BDD/TDD practices using Cucumber, Gherkin, TestNG/JUnit
  • Validate frontend–backend integrations and ensure data integrity across services
  • Participate in code reviews, defect analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support release readiness through regression cycles and quality metrics tracking

 Mandatory Skills

  • Strong programming skills in Java / Python / JavaScript
  • Expertise in automation tools: Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium
  • Experience with API testing: REST Assured, Postman, SoapUI
  • Hands-on with test frameworks: TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber (BDD)
