Job description

TMAC's Direct Hire service, formerly known as TMAC Direct, is an executive search firm and Pharma's Complete Recruiting Resource. We were recognized by Forbes as a Top Executive Search Firm in the US. Thank you for taking the time to review this opening!

Senior Medical Science Liaison, Sleep Apnea (Eastern US)

TMAC is partnering with a global medical device company that is building out its Medical Science Liaison (MSL) team in the sleep apnea. This role is a good fit for someone who enjoys scientific exchange, values strong relationships with clinicians, and wants to be part of a product launch.

The Senior MSL will focus on obstructive sleep apnea and work closely with physicians, researchers, and thought leaders across the US. You will bring back insights that help shape strategy, and you will support both ongoing studies and upcoming launch work.

What you will do

  • Build and maintain genuine peer relationships with physicians, researchers, and key opinion leaders
  • Develop a clear view of the regional landscape, including the specialties involved in sleep apnea care
  • Create and execute a regional plan that supports the needs of the medical and scientific community
  • Support clinical research efforts, including investigator initiated studies and company sponsored trials and registries
  • Collaborate with internal teams on publications, advisory boards, medical education, and speaker development
  • Act as a scientific resource for both external experts and internal partners
  • Help train internal colleagues on relevant clinical topics

Location and travel

  • Eastern United States
  • Travel up to 75 percent within the region, including medical meetings and internal meetings

What you bring

  • Advanced degree such as MD, PhD, or PharmD required
  • At least 4 years of experience in medical affairs, clinical affairs, or clinical strategy within medical devices required
  • Experience in sleep medicine, surgery, or a related area is strongly preferred
  • Prior involvement in product launch is a plus
  • Operating room experience is helpful
  • Comfortable working in a field based, compliant medical affairs role that partners with commercial teams

If you enjoy scientific exchange, being in the field, and helping bring new therapies forward, this is worth a conversation.
