JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Project Manager is required to manage projects from beginning to finish.  This includes working with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.  This includes creation of budgets and timelines. 
The Senior Project Manager must have excellent time management skills, excellent communication skills and ability to utilize project management software.  This position will also work directly with finance department to ensure invoices for projects are paid accurately and promptly.  This position will also manage the process of handing the completed project to owners including Facilities Management. 

The specific job functions include but are not limited 

  • Create  RFP (Request for Proposal) documents  and assemble interview panels for prospective Architectural, Engineering and Construction firms.  This includes decision matrix for interview group and scheduling of interviews. 
  • Works with UVACH legal to create contracts for engagement of Architectural, Engineering and Construction firms. 
  • Acts as mentor for Project Managers. 
  • Creates, prepares and monitors comprehensive budgets for projects.
  • Create comprehensive schedules and manage all aspects of project to the schedule.
  • Manage all aspects of projects, including paying vendors, overseeing ordering of equipment and furniture.
  • Conduct OAC meetings on a regularly scheduled meeting.
  • Maintain information in project management software.
  • Ensure compliance to all regulatory guidelines, to include OSHA, Joint Commission, CMMS, FGI and relevant local authorities. 
  • Conduct project closeout meetings with Facilities Department to ensure smooth transition

Job Competencies 

Customer Service: Collaborates with service personnel, inspectors, and vendors in facility maintenance.  

  • Assists outside service personnel, inspectors, and vendors. 
  • Relays information to all team members as needed. 
  • Collaborates with supervisor/manager and ESIC to identify building/equipment/grounds issues.  

Safety: Ensures company assets are in a safe working condition. 

  • Wears appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), essential to the job. 
  • Responds and assists in Code Red/evacuation activities/alarms. 

Compliance: Maintains knowledge and compliance with regulatory agencies.  

  • Supports organizational and departmental policies and procedures as required for compliance.  
  • Provides support during facility compliance audits. 

Inter-departmental Collaboration: Interacts with individuals from different departments and levels of authority.  

  • Provides leadership, support, guidance, and experience to other technicians for facility maintenance. 
  • Assists with events and programs outside of typical engineering responsibilities. 
  • Participates in department meetings as well as other special meetings to provide information on facility issues/condition. 

Engineering and Maintenance Expertise: Maintains the service life of company assets such as physical structures, HVAC, mechanical, utilities, and grounds.  

  • Understands the operation and repair of all types of mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment. 
  • Understands universal hazardous materials waste as it relates to maintenance activities. 
  • Reads and understands building system drawings.  
  • Uses a variety of hand and power tools in facility maintenance. 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor's degree required.

Experience: 10 years in a health care setting managing capital projects. Experience leading projects over $10M.

Licensure: CHC or CHFM preferred. 

Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Oral and written communication skills. Computer literacy with Microsoft office applications and Project Management software. Position requires knowledge of budgeting process.  Ability to make key decisions and work with multidisciplinary groups to ensure good communication. 

Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: : Prefer degrees in Building Construction, Architecture or Engineering.

The base compensation range for this role is  $42.45-68.70 hourly.

Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.  Please note that the pay range does not include any applicable incentive compensation programs such as shift differentials, clinical ladders, and other incentives that may be available for those in eligible positions.
