Job description

We are seeking a Senior Experiential Designer who can lead and execute design work across a range of scales, from brand expression and environmental graphics to interior placemaking, donor recognition, and experiential elements within the built environment. This role is best suited to a strong designer who can think conceptually, develop ideas with rigor, and carry design intent through documentation and implementation.

The ideal candidate is process-driven and values each stage of design, from concept development through construction administration. They should be detail-oriented, visually strong, and capable of solving design problems thoughtfully and creatively. This individual must be able to manage their own work with a high degree of accountability, balance multiple priorities across concurrent projects, and contribute effectively in a collaborative, deadline-driven studio environment.

In this role, the designer will translate a client’s vision into well-developed design solutions and support projects through documentation and execution. The person in this role will carry design intent through documentation and coordination so that project work is accurately priced, fabricated, and installed.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead design development on assigned projects from concept through implementation
  • Contribute to and help shape innovative conceptual design solutions
  • Develop branding, graphic design, and interior placemaking concepts across a variety of practice areas, including retail, sports, housing, and education
  • Support client presentations, discussions, and ongoing communication in collaboration with project leadership
  • Manage individual tasks, deadlines, and deliverables within larger project teams
  • Prepare and coordinate construction documentation for experiential design scope
  • Lead construction administration for assigned projects, including responding to fabricator RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, and supporting coordination during bidding, fabrication, and installation
  • Support signage and wayfinding design efforts in collaboration with senior signage leadership
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative team environment

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in industrial design, interior design, architecture, graphic design, environmental design, or a related field
  • 6–8 years of relevant experience (preferred)
  • Strong ability to present ideas clearly to clients, individuals, and internal teams
  • High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across project teams
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Portfolio demonstrating strong experiential design thinking and execution
  • Ability to produce digital renderings and/or visualizations required; hand sketching is a plus
  • Strong graphic design, typography, and layout skills
  • Revit proficiency is a plus
