Signage Designer / Project Support (Growth Role)

In Person Santa Maria, CA

Signs of Success is seeking a Signage Designer / Project Support team member to assist our Project Management team in designing, organizing, and delivering signage projects from concept through installation.
This role is ideal for someone with strong design skills who wants to grow into a Project Manager / Designer role within the sign and construction industry.
You will work closely with senior PMs, coordinators, and production teams to turn concepts into real, buildable signage.
What Youll Do

Design & Drawing Support

Create design mockups, shop drawings, and permit drawings using Illustrator
Translate architectural plans and sales concepts into clear signage layouts
Prepare production-ready artwork and drawing packages
Project Support

Assist Project Managers with active jobs and deadlines
Help organize project files, drawings, and documentation
Coordinate with production and installation teams to answer questions
Installation & Production Preparation

Help ensure drawings include necessary fabrication and install details
Assist in preparing install packets with complete information
Verify materials, layouts, and basic mounting conditions
Learning & Growth

Develop understanding of signage construction, materials, and installation
Learn permitting requirements and code basics
Progress toward managing your own projects over time
Qualifications

Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (required)
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
Strong attention to detail and organization
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Interest in construction, fabrication, or design-build industries
Bonus (not required):
Experience in signage, construction, or manufacturing
Familiarity with permitting or shop drawings
Bilingual Spanish/English
