What talents will I be sharing to make a difference in people’s lives?

St. John's is seeking a Part-Time or Full-Time RN Supervisor for the Evening Shift (3:00 pm-11:30 pm) + every other weekend. 

Pay:  $40.00 - $44.00 per hour, dependent on post-license experience level. Very generous extra pay for evening and weekend shifts.            

The RN Supervisor has the responsibility of translating the objectives, policies, and procedures of St. John's Home & the Nursing Department into effective actions. Must maintain the highest standards of nursing care and practice of the assigned shifts. The Nurse Supervisor maintains the highest degree of quality care.   

What will make me successful on the job?

Current NYS RN license.  

Current NYS CPR certification.  

Must be available to work weekends and holidays.  

Must be available to attend and complete 5-day orientation on Monday-Friday.  

Minimum of one (1) year of RN supervisory experience required or three (3) years of RN experience.

Previous experience in long-term care is highly desirable.  

Must possess leadership skills and willingness to work harmoniously with others.  

Proficient organizational and communication skills.  

Ability to interact with elders and care for their needs. 

Compliance with NYS Department of Health immunization requirements. 

Physical Requirements  

 Stands, sits, and walks most of the day. Frequent moving and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to perform activities as defined in the skills checklist.

 May be exposed to infectious diseases, odors, and psycho-behavioral situations
