Job description

Randstad is seeking a highly skilled Senior SAP BTP Developer to join our client's team in Washington, DC. This role requires deep expertise in SAP's Business Technology Platform (BTP) and extensive experience in custom application development using SAPUI5, FIORI, and related technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong technical capabilities, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of working collaboratively in client-focused environments. The Senior SAP BTP Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and supporting complex SAP applications and integrations on the BTP platform.
Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement custom applications on SAP BTP using SAPUI5, FIORI guidelines, and principles.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Develop and integrate oData services, APIs, and data models (e.g., JSON) for application functionality.
  • Manage and deploy applications on BTP, ensuring proper version control and transport processes.
  • Utilize BTP services such as Business Application Studio, Workzone, SAP Build Process Automation, and cloud connectors for application development.
  • Lead SAP BTP governance activities, ensuring compliance with best practices and standards.
  • Participate in SAP BTP full-cycle implementations, from blueprinting to deployment and hypercare.
  • Provide technical expertise in CAPM (NodeJS/Java) applications and scalable cloud application development.
  • Implement and manage authentication protocols for secure access to applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams, including enterprise architecture, IT operations, and strategy.
  • Drive change management processes and ensure adherence to release management protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, including senior executives.
