  • Perform alterations, hemming, tailoring, and fit adjustments for samples and fittings
  • Review patterns and identify construction or fit issues before production
  • Provide feedback to technical designers and pattern makers on garment feasibility and improvements
  • Troubleshoot construction challenges and recommend solutions for manufacturing efficiency and quality
  • Interpret and follow technical packages (tech packs), PLM specifications, measurements, and construction details
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality across all samples and prototypes
  • Meet deadlines in a fast-paced product development environment
  • Use standardized tools, templates, and sewing methods to ensure repeatable production quality
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe fit lab/sample room/production workspace
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
  • 7+ years of experience in garment construction, sample making, or apparel production
  • Strong knowledge of pattern evaluation, sewing techniques, and finishing methods
  • Expertise with industrial sewing machines, including:
    • Single needle & double needle
    • Coverstitch
    • Flatlock

    • Buttonhole machines
  • Ability to read and interpret technical design specs, tech packs, and PLM systems
  • Experience working with a variety of fabrics, including:
    • Knit and woven materials
    • Jersey, polyester blends, spandex/stretch fabrics
    • Fleece, French terry
    • Cotton twill, canvas, sherpa
  • Close attention to detail with strong quality control skills
  • Strong time management and ability to handle multiple samples/projects
  • Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
  • Ability to adapt quickly to design changes in a product lifecycle/development process
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
