Senior Routing Analyst information

What are Senior Routing Analysts?

Senior Routing Analysts are professionals responsible for optimizing and managing the routing of deliveries, shipments, or network data within a company. They analyze logistics, transportation routes, or data traffic to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery. Their role often involves using specialized software, collaborating with other departments, and making strategic recommendations to improve routing processes. Senior Routing Analysts typically have several years of experience and advanced analytical skills, making them key contributors to operational success.

What is the difference between Senior Routing Analyst vs Routing Coordinator?

AspectSenior Routing AnalystRouting Coordinator
CredentialsBachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field; experience in routing and analyticsHigh school diploma or equivalent; some experience in routing or logistics preferred
Work EnvironmentAnalytical roles in logistics, supply chain departments, often involving data analysis and strategyOperational roles focused on daily routing tasks, coordination, and communication
Employer & Industry UsageUsed in logistics, transportation, and supply chain companies for strategic routing planningCommon in transportation and courier companies for daily route management

The Senior Routing Analyst typically handles strategic routing analysis and data-driven decision-making, requiring more experience and technical skills. In contrast, the Routing Coordinator focuses on executing daily routing tasks and coordinating routes. Both roles are essential in logistics but differ mainly in scope and responsibilities.

What are some common challenges faced by Senior Routing Analysts, and how do they typically address them?

Senior Routing Analysts often encounter challenges such as managing complex logistics networks, adapting to last-minute route changes, and balancing cost-efficiency with timely deliveries. To address these, they leverage advanced routing software, collaborate closely with operations and dispatch teams, and continuously analyze data to optimize routes. Staying adaptable and proactively communicating with stakeholders are also essential strategies for overcoming these hurdles and ensuring smooth transportation operations.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Senior Routing Analyst, and why are they important?

To excel as a Senior Routing Analyst, you need strong analytical skills, experience in logistics or supply chain management, and a relevant bachelor's degree. Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), GIS mapping software, and data analysis tools is typically required, along with certifications such as APICS or Lean Six Sigma being advantageous. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills help you collaborate across departments and adapt to dynamic routing challenges. These abilities are crucial for optimizing routes, reducing costs, and ensuring efficient delivery operations within complex logistics environments.

Position Summary

Most BCBA roles ask you to balance caseload size, clinical quality, and paperwork - and something usually gives. This role is built differently. You'll lead ABA therapy for a defined group of clients, designing individualized treatment plans, running functional behavior assessments, and guiding the technicians who deliver direct services day to day. Parents and caregivers see real change because the programming actually matches their child, and because you have the time, tools, and team to support it.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Guide and supervise Behavior Technicians (BTs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) in delivering excellent ABA services.
  • Develop and lead personalized treatment plans built around each client's individual needs - never generic templates.
  • Partner with our compassion-led clinical committees to share clinical insights and strengthen care delivery.
  • Reinforce a culture grounded in ethics and outcomes rather than direct-service-hour targets.
  • Carry out functional behavior assessments and modify programming based on data and professional judgment.
  • Offer impactful parent coaching and family training to sustain progress between therapy sessions.
  • Comply with all BACB ethical standards, state regulations, and payer-specific requirements.

Required Credentials

  • Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a comparable area of study (for BCBA holders).
  • Valid BCBA or BCaBA certification with the BACB (or valid RBT certification combined with ongoing graduate coursework pointing toward BCBA certification).
  • Eligible to pass a background screening covering criminal background and driving record.
  • Strong familiarity with BACB ethical rules and the applicable state and payer guidelines.

Preferred Experience

  • Track record of creating parent and caregiver training programs.
  • Clear written and verbal communication capabilities for working with families and documenting treatment.
  • History of supervising behavior technicians or RBTs in a center-style ABA environment.
  • Desire to take part in applied research or share findings at professional conferences.

Benefits and Wellness

  • Monthly bonus structure delivering up to $18,000 in additional annual income
  • 15 days of paid time off and 9 paid holidays each year
  • Up to $1,000 in Professional Development Stipend funding
  • Full benefits package, wellness support, and 401(k) match
  • Referral incentives for helping recruit BTs, RBTs, and BCBAs
  • Hybrid work arrangement - one remote day per week when center operations permit
  • Anytime access to 100+ free CEUs
  • Up to 26 live CEU events yearly, including our Annual Clinical Conference
  • Five clinical committees and access to top professionals in the industry
  • Merit-based salary increases each year

  • Career Development - Move forward on either the clinical or operations side within our coast-to-coast network, including special access to innovative research via SprigLAB.
  • Quality You Can Count On - We hold the line on care quality. We meet every BACB, state, and payer standard and emphasize impactful supervision and parent involvement over piling on direct-service hours.
  • Practitioner Authority - The clinical direction is yours to set. Develop treatment plans that fit the individual client, never generic templates, using the breadth of your skills and tools.
