Sr Engineer - Global Manufacturing Engineering
Work Mode: Onsite
Location:Onsite 4 days/week in Kohler, WI
Opportunity
Global Manufacturing Engineering is looking for a dedicated and detailed mechanical engineer to support its manufacturing operations and to develop and implement strategic projects within its manufacturing facilities. As a Sr Engineer-Manufacturing you will be responsible for carrying out a broad scope of engineering tasks in support of the division.
  • Ability to evaluate existing processes and apply appropriate engineering principles to develop robust solutions and improvements to current operations.
  • As a key team member, contribute in group discussions and problem solving sessions to identify and drive production improvements throughout the facility.
  • Experience with 2D and 3D CAD software and the ability to develop technical drawings, both conceptual for reviews and detailed machine build for fabrications. AutoCad and Creo Parametric preferred.
  • Experience with understanding hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical drawing schematics. Ability to troubleshoot equipment based on analysis of this associated documentation.
  • Interest in leading projects and collaborating with various operations, engineering, and production associates to develop solid design and project proposals to meet the strategic goals of the division.
  • Experience with Microsoft office suite of software including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, & Project.
  • Ability to develop cost estimates and budget plans in support of capital projects. Ability to develop accurate timelines as part of new project proposals.
  • Interest and ability to bring new technology to existing processes.
  • Out-of-the box thought process to evaluate and simplify complicated processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: effective communicator, able to engage, motivate and energize at all levels of the organization.
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated, acts with integrity. Able to evaluate all sides of a situation before making decisions.
  • Excellent organizational and presentation skills.

Skills/Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline required.
  • 5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Preferred experience with Fanuc Robotics TP programming and ability to make program changes as needed
  • Preferred experience with Allen Bradley PLC ladder logic and ability to make minor changes to programs
  • Demonstrated ownership of major projects, process improvements, capital equipment implementation, automation, launch support, or operational excellence initiatives.
  • Ability to lead projects and influence teams.

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location.
