  • EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) OR 5+ years of direct, custom industrial machine design-build experience is a strict requirement
  • TECHNICAL FOCUS 3+ years of dedicated success specifically in custom automated equipment engineering (Not consumer products, electronics, or scanning devices)
  • SOFTWARE PLATFORM Direct, current proficiency in SolidWorks for complex machinery layout (Firm is actively transitioning to a 100% SolidWorks environment)

What You Will Be Doing
  • Leading the mechanical design integrity, engineering approach, and financial profitability for highly complex, custom machine design-build projects
  • Partnering directly with Project Managers during initial concept reviews to translate unique customer machine specifications into innovative, high-margin, and cost-effective automation solutions
  • Structuring and breaking down complex mechanical design initiatives into manageable milestones, supervising the workflows of both in-house detailers and external engineering houses
  • Applying sound fluid power design practices, specifying advanced hydraulic and pneumatic components tailored to the precise structural needs of each unique build
  • Conducting early-stage risk assessments to proactively identify and engineer out potential safety hazards, mechanical pinch points, or component accessibility roadblocks
  • Managing high-level technical communications with global corporate clients to ensure target machine cycle times meet rigorous international standards
  • Facilitating real-time corrective actions and maintaining strict engineering release schedules to keep active projects completely on budget and on time
What We Are Looking For
  • Custom Design Pedigree: A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience designing specialized industrial equipment, with a comprehensive grasp of machine tool dynamics, advanced material science, and mechanical power transmission concepts
  • Advanced Manufacturing Literacy: Direct exposure to industrial welding processes (GMAW, GTAW, Laser) and high-speed multi-axis automated assembly procedures
