BerQ RNG is structured to contribute positively to the environment by using biogas that is currently flared into the atmosphere. Throughout North America, thousands of locations are flaring biogas because it is not pure enough or economical enough to use. Job Description

The Business Development Analyst will play a critical role in supporting BerQ RNG’s growth strategy by evaluating, structuring, and advancing new RNG project opportunities and strategic initiatives. Acting as the key connection between Business Development and Financial Analysis, this role supports the identification, assessment, and execution of development and acquisition opportunities through rigorous financial modeling, market analysis, and strategic insight. This position is responsible for analyzing new opportunities, supporting deal execution, and providing data-driven recommendations that enable informed decision-making across the organization.


The Business Development Analyst will partner closely with Business Development, Finance, and senior leadership to support project development, acquisitions, and overall commercial strategy. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across functions, with the ability to translate complex financial and technical data into actionable business insights. We are seeking a dynamic professional with a positive attitude, strong interpersonal and analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in the RNG and biogas market
  • Develop detailed financial models including revenue, CAPEX, and OPEX projections to support development and acquisition opportunities
  • Support due diligence efforts, including financial analysis, risk assessment, and performance evaluation of investment targets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess project feasibility from both financial and technical perspectives
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals, presentations, term sheets, and supporting deal documentation
  • Conduct market research and stay informed on industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitive landscape
  • Translate financial and technical findings into clear insights and recommendations for senior management
  • Support negotiations and deal structuring through financial analysis and scenario modeling
  • Help track project pipeline, performance metrics, and investment outcomes
  • Perform other duties as assigned


This position is based in Burlington, ON with an expectation to work on-site 3 days a week: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday.


Qualifications:

BerQ RNG requires that all applicants meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, business development, energy, infrastructure, or a similar field
