NABRICO Marine Products is seeking a safety-focused, experienced Senior Crane Operator to join our team in Ashland City, TN. In this role, you will safely operate overhead bridge cranes to transport, position, and stage large steel components throughout the manufacturing process. What You'll Do
  • Safely operate overhead bridge cranes to move, lift, position, and stage steel plates, structural components, and fabricated assemblies.
  • Perform precision lifts to support welders, fitters, and other production personnel.
  • Inspect cranes, rigging equipment, hooks, slings, chains, and lifting devices before each shift to ensure safe operation.
  • Select and use proper rigging techniques based on load size, weight, and center of gravity.
  • Communicate effectively with ground personnel using standard hand signals and verbal communication.
  • Follow approved lifting procedures and maintain safe load control at all times.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and staging materials throughout the facility.
  • Monitor equipment performance and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA requirements.
  • Participate in safety initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience operating overhead bridge cranes in a manufacturing, fabrication, shipbuilding, or heavy industrial environment.
  • Demonstrated experience performing precision lifts involving oversized or heavy steel components.
  • Strong knowledge of rigging practices, load calculations, sling selection, and safe lifting procedures.
  • Ability to inspect rigging equipment and recognize unsafe conditions.
  • Experience working around welders, fitters, heavy equipment, and active production operations.
  • Excellent communication, situational awareness, and attention to detail.
  • Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and productivity.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and elevated work platforms as needed.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work at heights and around suspended loads while maintaining constant awareness of surroundings.
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment with exposure to varying temperatures, dust, noise, and industrial conditions.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and rigging equipment as required.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays based on production needs.
