What is a senior remote sales professional?

Senior Remote Sales professionals are experienced salespeople who manage and close sales deals primarily through virtual channels, rather than in-person meetings. They are responsible for building relationships with clients, understanding customer needs, and delivering solutions remotely using phone calls, video conferences, and digital tools. Their role often includes mentoring junior sales staff, developing sales strategies, and meeting or exceeding revenue targets. Senior Remote Sales positions require strong communication skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with distributed teams.

What are common challenges faced by senior remote sales professionals when building client relationships, and how can they overcome them?

Senior Remote Sales professionals often face challenges in establishing trust and rapport with clients due to the lack of in-person interaction. To overcome this, it's important to leverage video conferencing tools, maintain consistent and proactive communication, and personalize outreach to each client's needs. Building strong relationships also requires diligent follow-up and effective use of CRM systems to track interactions and preferences. By demonstrating reliability and understanding client goals, remote sales professionals can foster long-term partnerships despite geographical barriers.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a senior remote sales professional, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Senior Remote Sales professional, you need a robust background in consultative selling, business development, and account management, often supported by a bachelor's degree and proven sales experience. Familiarity with CRM systems like Salesforce, virtual meeting tools, and sales analytics platforms is typically required. Exceptional communication, self-motivation, and relationship-building skills help you stand out in managing client needs and closing deals remotely. These capabilities are essential for driving sales growth and maintaining strong client connections in a virtual environment.

Job description

As a Senior Outbound Sales Representative, you will work with families who have already begun their search with A Place for Mom and guide them through the final stages of their decision.
This is a high-activity, performance-driven inside sales role focused on re-engaging families, managing a pipeline of opportunities, and converting interest into move-ins.
You will be responsible for consistent follow-up, strong consultative selling, and disciplined execution across every stage of the sales process.
You will play a critical role in helping families make one of the most important decisions of their lives. Your ability to follow through, guide effectively, and drive outcomes directly impacts both family experiences and business success.
What you will do:
  • Manage a pipeline of families who have previously engaged with A Place for Mom and require continued guidance toward a move-in decision.
  • Execute consistent, high-volume outreach across phone, text, and email to re-engage and advance families.
  • Drive outcomes by moving families from tour to decision, including scheduling additional tours and providing new referrals when needed.
  • Apply a structured follow-up cadence to maintain engagement and prevent pipeline stagnation.
  • Build trust quickly with families, understand their needs, and guide them to the best-fit care options.
  • Partner with senior living communities and care providers to coordinate tours, share feedback, and support move-in conversion.
  • Maintain accurate, real-time documentation in CRM to reflect pipeline status, next steps, and forecasts.
  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly sales targets and conversion expectations.
  • Participate in ongoing coaching, call reviews, and training to continuously improve performance.

What will make you successful:
  • High daily activity and consistent follow-up execution
  • Strong pipeline management and organization
  • Ability to convert engaged families into move-ins
  • Consistent achievement of sales targets
  • Responsiveness to coaching and continuous improvement

Who you Are:
  • A results-driven sales professional who thrives in a high-activity, metrics-based environment
  • Skilled at closing and advancing deals, not just generating interest
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple families and timelines simultaneously
  • Comfortable owning a pipeline and being accountable for outcomes
  • Coachable, resilient, and motivated to improve performance

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in a quota-driven sales role, preferably inside or phone-based sales
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Experience managing and converting warm lead pipelines
  • Strong communication and active listening skills
  • Ability to multitask (phone + CRM documentation simultaneously)
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to work remotely with a high level of focus and accountability

Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strongly preferred Senior Living Community Sales Experience

Work Environment:
  • Fully remote role with a required dedicated home office space
  • High-speed, hardwired internet connection required
  • Company-provided laptop, VOIP system, CRM access, and tools
  • Schedule includes some evenings, weekends, and holidays

Compensation:
  • Hourly Base Salary: $51,500 ($24.76 an hour)
  • On Target Earnings: $86,500 ($35,000 variable bonus (Uncapped)
  • Benefits:
    • 401(k) plus match
    • Dental Insurance
    • Health Insurance
    • Vision Insurance
    • Paid Time Off
