Job description

We are seeking an experienced In-Building DAS Construction Lead to support nationwide DAS deployments across complex venues. This role is 100% travel-based and requires a hands-on field leader who can actively install DAS equipment while leading and coordinating on-site crews.
The ideal candidate has direct experience building DAS systems in live environments and is comfortable serving as the primary field point of contact for construction execution, material coordination, and quality control.
Key Responsibilities
Preferably:
Technical Construction Management
  • Assist and oversee installation of DAS equipment including head-end units, remote antenna units, fiber optic cables, and coaxial distribution systems
  • Assist with site surveys / data collection and produce bid documents on small to medium projects
  • Supervise field construction crews and subcontractors
  • Conduct safety surveys and meetings with onsite vendors and crews
  • Work with clients and vendors to ensure all installations comply with RF engineering specifications and performance requirements

Materials & Logistics Support
  • Must have the ability to scope installation requirements and procure the appropriate materials.
  • Assist with material verification, staging, and shortages
  • Support scoping and takeoffs based on field conditions
  • Coordinate with project teams on equipment readiness and deliveries

Quality Assurance & Compliance
  • Conduct site inspections and quality control checks throughout construction phases
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
  • Coordinate testing and commissioning activities with RF engineers
  • Manage permit acquisition and regulatory compliance requirements

Project Management & Oversight
  • Support and manage multiple active DAS deployment projects simultaneously from initiation through commissioning
  • Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution
  • Maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans

Stakeholder Coordination
  • Serve as primary liaison between construction teams and clients
  • Collaborate with property managers, building owners, and facility personnel
  • Coordinate with carrier partners and equipment vendors
  • Communicate project status and milestones to senior management
  • Manage crew scheduling and resource deployment

Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all site safety requirements (OSHA, venue-specific rules)
  • Maintain clean, professional job sites
  • Ensure compliance with firestops, pathways, and access policies

Certifications
  • DAS OEM (JMA, CommScope, SOLiD, ADRF) systems installation, Cable prep
  • Fiber Testing (DTF, OTDR) tool certification, Anritsu
  • GC Academy Construction, Ericsson, Nokia
  • MEWP Certification

Requirements
MUST HAVE:
***Candidates must have 2-3 years of recent hands-on field experience in wireless telecommunications inbuilding systems installation, testing, and field leadership***
  • Must have industry safety certifications, i.e., OSHA 10 or 30, RF Awareness, CPR, BBP
  • 2+ years of experience in leading inbuilding DAS construction projects
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with DAS installations and in-building wireless systems
  • Knowledge of fiber optics and Coax installation, testing, troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of Troubleshooting, RAN and DAS systems
  • Knowledge of working with AC and DC power installation
  • Knowledge of preparing Coax jumper as per specification, certification is a plus
  • Must be able to read and understand Construction Drawings, RF Data sheets and ibwave files
  • Must have experience preparing construction closeout packages
  • Must have DAS/RAN construction bid walk and the deliverables experience
  • Must be familiar with post construction close out and deliverables

Physical & Travel Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work on ladders, lifts, and above ceilings
  • 100% travel required (national project footprint)
