Job Summary
We are seeking a mid-to-senior level RCM Business Analyst with a strong background in Health Informatics and healthcare revenue cycle operations. This role focuses on analyzing, optimizing, and improving end-to-end revenue cycle processes for healthcare clients, particularly within government contracting environments. The ideal candidate bridges clinical operations, financial systems, and data analytics to drive compliance, efficiency, and revenue integrity.
Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze revenue cycle performance metrics including AR aging, denials, reimbursements, and cash collections.
  • Develop dashboards and reports using SQL, Excel, and BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Conduct gap analysis, workflow audits, and process optimization for EHR/PM systems (Athenahealth, Epic, Meditech).
  • Support UAT, system implementations, and upgrades while ensuring regulatory compliance (HIPAA, CMS).
  • Collaborate with RCM leadership, clinical teams, payers, and IT to identify trends and resolve revenue leakage.
  • Perform ad-hoc analytics on claims data, coding audits, write-offs, and bad debt.
  • Maintain KPI definitions, data integrity, and reporting standards across multiple systems.
  • Provide insights to support payer negotiations and revenue integrity strategies.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • 5-8+ years of experience in:
  • RCM
  • Healthcare analytics
  • Business analysis in healthcare environments
  • Health Informatics certification (e.g., CPHIMS) preferred.

Preferred / Desirable Skills
  • Python for healthcare data analysis.
