Job DescriptionSummary:
The Manager of Consolidations Accounting role is based in our Franklin Lakes, NJ corporateofficesand reports to the Senior Manager of Consolidations in the Corporate Controller's Group. This roleis responsible forleading the consolidation and preparation of global financial statements across all reporting cycles, including monthlyclosingand forecasting cycles, including oversight of key controlsrequiredfor SOX compliance. This position offers broad exposure to leaders (e.g., CAO, FP&A, Tax, Internal Audit) across the Company through the corporate reporting processes and the opportunity to collaborate and drive excellence across functions and geographies.You'llplay a key role in shaping and strengthening the accounting-to-report function from anefficiencyandeffectivenessperspective.
The ideal candidatemust have good interpersonalandcommunication skills, be self-motivated and able to work collaboratively anddemonstrateinfluential leadership across teams and regions as well as independently toaccomplishresponsibilities.Demonstrated experience of excellent problem-solving, organizational, and execution skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlineswill be key to success in this role.
Responsibilities:
Reviewconsolidatedworldwide financial statements, including journal entries, account analysis, and supporting documentation.
Provide support and oversight to teams globally as efforts are made to build consistent and compliant processes and controls to improve efficiency and effectiveness (i.e., ability to analyze results andidentifyand address anyissuestimely).
Support SEC filings and the Annual Report, including financial statements, footnotes, and related disclosures.
Work with tax, treasury, and other departments to resolve accounting issues andprovidetransaction insights.
Support external audit requests and ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements.
Collaborate with the tax department on any legal entity restructuring activities (transfers,liquidationsand mergers) and issue theappropriate USGAAP accounting guidance toimpactedaffiliates.
Manage the global corporate analysis related to consolidations and eliminations of intercompany inventory and gross profit eliminations
Support business acquisitions and divestitures, including providing accounting guidance and system reporting requirements as well as contributing to deliverables under ongoing transaction service agreements (TSAs).
Aid regional and business unit finance teams to ensure completeness and consistency of financial data.
Drive process improvements (e.g., close acceleration) and automation initiatives within the Corporate Controller's Group and across the accounting-to-report teams globally.
Manage, coach, and develop senioranalystand/oranalyst, which includes goal development, performance review, andtimelycoaching/feedback.
Act as a super user forSAP (BPC).
Lead or contribute to specialprojects asassigned.
Minimum Qualifications
B.S. degree in accounting.
6 to 10 years of experience in public accounting and/or within general accounting/consolidations.
Supervisoryexperience whetherthrough direct or indirect leadership of others.
Experienceutilizingahigh levelof technical accounting knowledge and analytical capabilities.
Experience withpreparation and analysis ofconsolidatedfinancial statementsrequiredunlesscandidateis directly from public accounting.
Knowledgeable inContinuous Improvement mindsetand methodologies
Proficiencyin Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Skills/Knowledge:
CPA Certification, or progress toward certification
Experience with SAP and BPC
Experience with progressive tools, such as Power BI, Alteryx, or ServiceNow
Experience in public accounting and/or within general accounting/consolidationswithinalarge multi-national and publicly traded company.
