TheQuantumIonTrap Technology Architectis a senior-level, subject matter expertrole within theGFLabsTechnology Architectureorganization. This roleis responsible foradvancing quantum ion trapping technologies from fundamental research through scalable, manufacturable architectures. The position requires deep technicalexpertise, hands-on research leadership, and the ability to translate emerging quantum concepts into practical engineering solutions.
ThePMTSQuantum Ion Trapping roleleadsthe definition, development, and maturation of ion-trap-based quantum technologies. The position works across device physics, materials, fabrication, packaging, and system architecture to enable next-generation quantum platforms. This engineer serves as a technical authority and architect, influencing long-term technology roadmaps and external research engagements.
Essential Responsibilities
Shapenext generationion trapping technologies, including device concepts, architectures, and fabrication approaches.
Define and drive experiments, simulations, and prototypes to improvequbitperformance, scalability, reliability, and manufacturability.
Serve as a primary technical interface with customers, ensuring alignment on programobjectives, milestones,anddeliverablesthroughout execution.
Expected Salary Range
$143,000.00 - $275,000.00
