Trevity is seeking a highly skilled Senior Python & Geospatial Data Engineer to support mission-critical analytics and operational workflows. The ideal candidate will possess advanced expertise in Python development, geospatial processing, data visualization, and dashboard engineering within defense or intelligence environments.
This role requires a self-driven technical leader capable of developing scalable analytic solutions, integrating diverse datasets, and delivering actionable insights to operational stakeholders. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain mission-ready Python applications and automated workflows. • Integrate and operationalize data from web APIs and external data sources. • Build interactive dashboards and analytical interfaces for mission users and leadership. • Develop geospatial processing pipelines and perform spatial analysis using modern GIS frameworks. • Query and optimize relational databases using SQL. • Produce technical documentation, workflow diagrams, and system documentation. • Collaborate with analysts, operators, and technical teams to translate mission requirements into scalable solutions. • Utilize Git-based version control platforms to manage software development lifecycles. • Normalize, transform, and visualize operational datasets to support decision-making. • Operate independently in fast-paced, mission-focused environments with minimal oversight. Required Qualifications • Senior-level proficiency in Python with demonstrated experience designing and deploying mission-ready solutions. • Experience querying and integrating web APIs through Python to retrieve, normalize, and operationalize data. • Experience developing interactive visualizations using: ◦ Plotly ◦ Seaborn ◦ Matplotlib ◦ Bokeh ◦ or equivalent tools • Experience building dashboards and analytical interfaces using: ◦ Dash ◦ Streamlit ◦ Panel ◦ Tableau ◦ or similar platforms • Strong SQL skills with experience querying relational databases. • Experience using Git-based version control systems such as GitHub or GitLab. • Proficiency with geospatial processing frameworks such as GDAL or ArcPy. • Proficiency using GIS desktop software such as ArcGIS Pro or QGIS. • Strong technical writing and documentation skills. • Ability to operate independently at a senior level with limited oversight.
