Senior Project Manager

Location: Markham, Ontario

Compensation: $140,000-$170,000 (based on experience)

THE OPPORTUNITY:

On behalf of our client a leading general contractor, TalentSphere Staffing Solutions is searching for a Senior Project Manager to join a dynamic and growing team. The Senior Project Manager will lead transformative projects across the region, including earthwork, road work, bridge, water and sewer and other civil works projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on challenge, excels at collaboration, and has the proven experience to drive large-scale civil works projects.

THE ROLE:

This Senior Project Manger will be responsible for providing overall project direction and leadership to ensure successful delivery, and timely completion of projects, including strategic budgeting and scheduling, stakeholder management, and site management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex infrastructure projects ensuring safety, quality and cost objectives are met.
  • Oversee project controls including budgeting, scheduling, cost reporting, and change management.
  • Manage vendor and subcontractor selection, providing contract administration to resolve any disputes that may arise.
  • Provide leadership coaching, and mentoring to junior staff.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or a post-secondary education in a construction related field. P.Eng. certification is highly preferred.
  • Experience:15 years of direct construction project management experience, with a proven track record of completing bridge, roadwork, earthwork, or sewer & watermain projects.
  • Skills: Extensive knowledge of construction methods, industry standards, and best practices with the ability to multitask and build strong relationships.
  • MUST be able and willing to travel to job sites.
