Job description

Under the responsibility of the Vehicle Accessories Development Team Lead, the Purchaser supports the development of new accessories for all BRP platforms. With their expertise, they influence procurement decisions based on various factors, such as the manufacturing capabilities of suppliers. You will negotiate costs, timelines, and terms related to your product portfolio with your suppliers and develop procurement strategies to acquire parts at the best quality/price/delivery ratio according to the determined strategies.  

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Coordinate the development stages of BRP accessories under your leadership, from creating the accessory to delivering it to the distribution centre.

  • Ensure communication throughout the development process between the supplier, the engineering team and the planning and quality assurance departments.

  • Develop procurement strategies for accessories by analyzing current or potential supplier ecosystems.

  • Select suppliers in accordance with existing procedures.

  • Ensure that selected suppliers have the necessary capabilities to achieve the dates, quantities, and engineering/QA specifications required.

  • Manage financial data such as project margins for projects under your responsibility.

  • Contribute to the development of an effective accessory supply network.

YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:   

  • A bachelor's degree in an appropriate field.

  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience in procurement and/or project management.

  • Fluency in French and English, both written and verbal.

  • Knowledge of Windows software (Word, Excel, MS Project) and SAP.

  • Good organization, analytical skills, rigour and autonomy.

  • The ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Excellent teamwork skills.

  • Demonstrated leadership, good communication and negotiation skills.

  • A passion for project management and manufacturing processes.

  • Availability to travel to suppliers.

  • A passion for BRP products!
