Responsibilities
We are seeking CEI Inspectors throughout North Carolina.
  • Acts as a CEI Inspector on roadway and bridge projects and supports the Senior Inspector.
  • Performs daily observations of construction work conformance with project plans and specifications.
  • Performs field testing, documents construction activities, and tracks quantities of work items performed.
  • Maintains appropriate records and prepares required reports.
  • Performs other duties as required by the Senior Inspector, Project Administrator and Senior Project Engineer.

Qualifications
  • Qualified candidates will have High School education or equivalent and adequate experience to perform inspection duties required of the position.
  • Ability to read and interpret roadway plans
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to use Tablet, Laptop, or other electronic devices and software proficiently.
  • Clean driving record; and and ability to pass a drug screen.
  • Ability to work all shifts outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
  • Ability to safely lift and transport upto 50 pounds of equipment traversing uneven and hilly terrain.
  • Ability to commute up to one (1) hour from home or office daily.

Preferred Certifications/Licenses:
  • NCDOT Concrete Field Inspector Level I
  • NCDOT Asphalt Roadway Level I
  • NCDOT Conventional Density Certification
  • NCDOT Level II Erosion and Sediment Control Inspection Certification
