About the Team:

The Grove (Global Gateways & POS) organization is responsible for delivering and evolving many of Elavon's core payment technology platforms that power omni-commerce experiences across North America and Europe. As a member of our Technology Delivery team, you will support a diverse portfolio that includes Commerce SDK, Enterprise Payment Gateway, Elavon Bridge, CenPOS, Simplify, Converge, Opayo, CPI, Fusebox, enabling merchants to accept and manage payments across in-store, online, mobile, and integrated commerce channels.

Position Overview:

U.S. Bank and Elavon are seeking a highly collaborative Project/Program Manager to support the successful delivery of strategic technology initiatives across payment processing, integrated commerce, gateways, POS, and digital payment platforms.

This role serves as a key partner to Senior Program Managers, Product Managers, Engineering leaders, and delivery teams by translating program objectives into actionable execution plans and driving day-to-day delivery coordination. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify dependencies, manage risks, coordinate milestones, remove blockers, and provide transparency into delivery progress.

The ideal candidate combines strong project management fundamentals, technology delivery experience, organizational skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships that help teams deliver high-quality outcomes efficiently and predictably.

Primary Responsibilities

Delivery Planning & Execution

  • Partner with Senior Program Managers to develop and maintain execution plans supporting strategic technology initiatives.

  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Architecture, Operations, Risk, and Compliance teams to translate priorities into actionable work plans.

  • Coordinate delivery activities across multiple teams, ensuring alignment on scope, timelines, milestones, and dependencies.

  • Facilitate planning sessions, execution reviews, release readiness activities, and delivery coordination meetings.

  • Support Agile and traditional delivery approaches as appropriate to the initiative.

  • Monitor progress against commitments and proactively identify schedule, scope, or resource risks.

Program Coordination & Governance

  • Maintain integrated project plans, milestone tracking, risk logs, dependency tracking, and status reporting.

  • Support governance forums by preparing updates, meeting materials, decision logs, and action-item tracking.

  • Ensure execution activities align with enterprise standards, controls, compliance requirements, and delivery methodologies.

  • Escalate risks, issues, or blockers promptly while proposing mitigation options.

  • Track delivery metrics and provide transparency into program health and execution status.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build effective working relationships with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, Architects, business stakeholders, and external partners.

  • Facilitate communication across teams to ensure alignment and shared understanding of priorities and delivery commitments.

  • Support preparation of executive-level communications, status updates, and leadership reporting.

  • Help drive accountability for commitments while fostering a collaborative and solution-oriented environment.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve planning, delivery processes, communication practices, and reporting effectiveness.

  • Support adoption of Agile delivery practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Promote transparency, accountability, and collaboration across teams.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

  • At least 10 years experience with tools and techniques for planning, organizing, monitoring and controlling IT projects.


Preferred Skills/Experience

  • 5+ years of experience managing technology projects, programs, or cross-functional delivery initiatives.

  • Experience coordinating software development or technology delivery efforts using Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.

  • Experience developing project plans, managing dependencies, tracking risks, and coordinating delivery activities.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience supporting payment systems, fintech solutions, merchant acquiring, eCommerce platforms, POS solutions, or financial services technology.

  • Experience working within Agile product operating models.

  • Experience partnering with Product Management, Engineering, Architecture, and enterprise stakeholders.

  • Experience using Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, MS Project, or similar planning and reporting tools.

  • PMP certification preferred, but not required.

  • Agile certification (CSM, PMI-ACP, SAFe, or equivalent) preferred.
