POSITION SUMMARY  

The DSV Solutions Senior Manager of Project Management is responsible for leading the team of Project Managers and Training Managers in pursuit of highly successful delivery of new business implementations. There are 4 major facets of this Senior Manager's responsibility related to the Implementation of new business: Project Management Execution, Training Development & Execution, Team Leadership, and other department leadership duties. 

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

Project Management Execution: 

  • Driving the execution of Advance Quality Planning as the cornerstone of project initiation. 

  • Driving adherence to Implementation department standard approach and toolsets throughout the execution of each project to ensure a high level of delivery of Scope, Budget, and Timeline, and ultimately successful launch of new business. 

  • Monitoring scheduling and execution of tollgate meetings per the Implementation Standard and individual project plans. 

  • Monitoring and driving communication plans for each project to maintain consistency and thorough status reporting internally to DSV and facing the clients. 

  • Serving as first point of escalation and approvalfor Project Management change control, driving proper documentation and justification for changes. 

  • Maintaining alignment of DSV Project Management toolset standards between Implementation and Property & Projects. 

  • Supporting Business Development and Solution Design with estimated project timelines and startup cost validation based on specific RFP scope. 

  • Providing direct Project Management bandwidth for project tasks if/when required. 

Training Development & Execution: 

  • Driving the team of Training Managers in development of training documentation per the finalized scope and processes in collaboration with the Engineer and WMS team.   

  • Ensuring that the training documentation (including SOPs, Work Instructions, and visual management) are delivered per the project schedule as aligned with the Project Manager. 

  • Ensuring that Training Plans are developed in concert with the HR, Safety, WMS, and Operations teams, and ultimately executed successfully. 

Team Leadership: 

  • Planning and tracking work content for PMs and Training Managers, managing project assignments throughout the year and forecasting bandwidth via annual staff planning. 

  • Driving internal department CIP initiatives for Project Management & Training specifically and contributing to ideas & actions for CI initiatives for the Implementation department as a whole. 

  • Providing regular and frequent feedback and coaching to Project Managers and Training Managers individually and conducting formal performance reviews semi-annually. 

  • Managing opportunities for professional development (team and individual). 

 SKILLS & ABILITIES  

Education & Experience:   

  • Four-year degree is basic requirement (Industrial Engineering or Business Management preferred) 

  • Minimum of 5 years of job related/relevant experience in a leadership role. 

  • Minimum of 5 years Logistics/Supply Chain Industry experience. 

For this position, the expected base pay range is $125,000.00 - $135,000.00 . Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
