POSITION SUMMARY
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely physical and systematic receiving of materials arriving to the Atlanta, GA facility and has primary supervisory responsibility for individual areas, including Shipping or Fulfillment Support, within the warehouse operations. Monitors inventory levels to ensure sufficient capacity to fulfill orders at all times. Balances team and individual workloads as needed to achieve production and delivery goals for each shift. Utilizes software, data, and analytics to optimize operations, track production metrics, and anticipate and resolve issues as they arise. Ensures that Operations employees receive equipment, tools, and training as appropriate for safe, secure, and efficient operations. Complies with and enforces applicable workplace safety regulations, policies, and procedures.. Manage Additional responsibilities include performance management and development and coaching of all direct reports, and occasionally leading and facilitating department special projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIITIES

  • Supervise operations and team in at least one area of operations per shift.
  • Train and manage performance of employees, including team leads, in individual areas within the warehouse operations.
  • Responsible for interviewing and screening job candidates. Make hiring decisions.
  • Monitor, manage and assess employees' performance, including productivity and efficiency, and make recommendations for promotions, pay raises, terminations or other changes in status.
  • Coach counsel and issue corrective action when employees are not meeting expectations.
  • Handle employee complaints and grievances.
  • Directly liaise with Human Resources regarding employee issues.
  • Plan and apportion work assignments and production sequences to meet production goals for individual areas within warehouse operations.
  • Complete annual performance development review for each direct report and develops each employee through coaching sessions.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and reviews, understand and follow all departmental procedures..
  • Participate in cross-departmental opportunities including training, planning and executing processes and procedures.
  • Achieve standards of efficiency, quality, and record accuracy. Assures production is performed accurately, timely and efficiently.
  • Complete all supervisory paperwork.
  • Verify timesheets/timecards.
  • Schedule employees in individual areas of operation based on the needs of the business to achieve production and delivery goals for each shift and communicate any changes in staffing needs to upward leadership.
  • Report unsafe or unusual condition of equipment, materials and product to Senior Supervisor and/or management.
  • Promote continuous process improvement and waste reduction.
  • Enforce applicable safety and sanitation regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between department with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma or equivalent education preferred.
  • Associates Degree or relevant work experience preferred.
  • 2-3 years previous work experience in a supervisory role preferred.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to effectively provide feedback regarding departmental and individual performance.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills required.
  • Strong PC and systems experience preferred.

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 20 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in a production environment with exposure to dust, occasional fumes and varying temperatures.
  • Work performed will be in a production environment with possible exposure to food allergens, dust, varying temperatures, loud noise level and occasional fumes and chemicals.
  • Must be flexible with regard to job assignments as days, hours and support tasks may vary depending on production needs.
  • Work during weekends and/or other unscheduled days/times may be required.
