Production Supervisor (Apprentice Track) – ATSMFG

About Us

LX Group is a family-owned business that’s been serving the foodservice and equipment industry for over 30 years. It all started with a young immigrant woman who simply wanted to support her family. She worked tirelessly—driving semi-trucks while pregnant, taking no days off, and doing every job herself—to build what has become a trusted, dependable partner for customers across North America.

ATSMFG (https://www.atsmfg.com/) is our manufacturing division, specializing in high-quality restaurant furniture, including booths, seating, and custom millwork. Our strength lies in combining craftsmanship with scalable production, supported by a team that takes pride in both quality and efficiency.

Our leadership team believes in developing talent from within. Many of our leaders started on the production floor and grew into management roles through hands-on experience and mentorship. We are now looking for a Production Supervisor (Apprentice Track) to join our team and develop into a key leader within our manufacturing operations.

Role and Responsibilities

The Production Supervisor (Apprentice Track) will work closely with our current Production Supervisor to learn all aspects of shop floor operations, team management, and production planning. This is a hands-on role designed as a training pathway into a full Production Supervisor position, with a strong emphasis on learning by doing.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Floor Operations
  • · Work directly on the production floor, supporting daily manufacturing activities across woodworking, assembly, and finishing.
  • · Learn and operate key machinery, including CNC machines, woodworking equipment (e.g., saws, routers), and upholstery tools (e.g., sewing machines).
  • · Ensure adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols.
Apprenticeship & Skill Development
  • · Train under the current Production Supervisor to understand end-to-end production workflows.
  • · Develop knowledge of materials, product specifications, and manufacturing processes.
  • · Gradually take on increasing responsibility in coordinating daily production activities.
Team Coordination & Leadership
  • · Support supervision of production staff, including task assignment and workflow coordination.
  • · Assist in training new employees and reinforcing standard operating procedures.
  • · Help maintain a positive, accountable, and safety-focused work environment.
Quality & Process Improvement
  • · Monitor product quality and identify opportunities for improvement in processes and output.
  • · Assist in troubleshooting production issues and minimizing downtime.
  • · Support implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency and consistency.
Safety & Compliance
  • · Follow all workplace safety standards and ensure proper use of equipment.
  • · Promote a culture of safety and accountability across the production floor.

Qualifications

  • · Bilingual in Mandarin or Spanish is strongly preferred.
  • · 2–5+ years of experience in manufacturing, woodworking, furniture production, or a related hands-on environment.
