Production Supervisor – Battery Rework & Assembly

sonnen is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead the operation, development, and continuous improvement of our battery module reassembly line. This individual will be responsible for supervising production employees, ensuring safe and efficient operation of the manufacturing process, maintaining quality standards, supporting new product and process introduction activities, and driving ongoing improvements to tooling, work instructions, material flow, ergonomics, and productivity.

The ideal candidate will become the subject matter expert for every station on the line, understanding each process step in detail and serving as the primary resource for operators, engineers, quality personnel, and leadership. This role requires a hands-on leader who is comfortable training employees, troubleshooting production issues, supporting equipment development, and helping scale the operation from pilot builds into full production.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise employees across all stations of the battery module reassembly line, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production.
  • Become the subject matter expert for the entire manufacturing process, capable of training employees, troubleshooting issues, and providing support at any workstation as needed.
  • Monitor daily production activities, staffing, quality performance, and throughput to ensure operational goals are achieved.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Safety teams to support line startup, validation activities, equipment implementation, and production ramp-up.
  • Identify opportunities to improve safety, ergonomics, quality, material flow, tooling, fixtures, and overall manufacturing efficiency.
  • Lead problem-solving efforts and support implementation of corrective actions to eliminate recurring production and quality issues.
  • Develop and maintain standardized work practices, training programs, and operating procedures to ensure process consistency and workforce capability.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and safety throughout the operation.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of manufacturing or production leadership experience.
  • 2+ years of direct supervisory experience.
  • Experience working in assembly, manufacturing, industrial, automotive, electronics, battery, or related production environments.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, process documentation, and manufacturing drawings.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience training and developing production personnel.
  • Comfortable working directly on the manufacturing floor.
