Job description

Position Summary

Over sees production work areas, ensuring that operations run smoothly and work is completed on time while achieving the company quality objectives. Responsible for ensuring the appropriate staffing levels are met and maintained for the area. Reviews applicable governing metrics and takes appropriate actions to ensure that company objectives are meet. This position requires the ability to make decisions and follow through on performance objectives. Responsible for motivating workforce to meet individual and company objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Lead production teams and ensure parts are produced on time, on budget, and with quality meeting company objectives
  2. Employee mentoring and development
  3. Identification of constraints and development of work around plans
  4. Meet Master Schedule delivery requirements
  5. Validate time and cost standards
  6. Supervisors will possess the skills to properly motivate the workforce and the ability to make decisions that secure the long-term viability of our company
  7. Conduct employee evaluations and assist Production Manager with hiring and employee retention decisions.
  8. Process Leader: must be willing to take responsibility and make decisions when they are needed. Must possess the ability to lead with confidence and take calculated risks.

Other Responsibilities include and are not limited to:

  • Must comply with all FLSA, HIPA, OSHA, or FAA applicable regulations
  • Take corrective actions with employees not meeting goals and objectives
  • Identify and solve problems with root cause corrective actions (RCFA).
  • Provide tactical cost reduction solutions in areas identified by senior leadership and track the progress of those efforts.
  • Work with internal customers to identify manufacturing constraints, impacts and solutions.
  • Recommend and process design/process changes (cost, delivery, quality).
  • Effectively implement design changes in manufacturing environment
  • Monitors operation of production equipment to assure efficiency, safety and quality standards.
  • Investigates and resolves manufacturing process problems.
  • Identifies specific issues with current machinery or processes so that manufacturing technology can address the issues with data.
  • Prepares operating procedures, instructions, and training materials.
  • Observes all safety policies and practices

Education and Experience:

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • High school diploma or GED, and up to one year work experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entry.
  • Basic understanding of production planning and order processing.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with production and management teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience with ERP or inventory management systems
