Position Overview
This opportunity is for a Senior Principal Electrical Engineer to deliver high-level electrical engineering support across complex projects within a multi-disciplinary environment. The Senior Principal Electrical Engineer will play a key role in leading technical delivery, supporting project execution, and ensuring engineering work is completed to applicable standards, regulatory requirements, and project expectations. This position offers the chance to contribute to major engineering scopes, provide technical leadership, and support project stakeholders through procurement, construction, and commissioning phases. Role Context
This role sits within an engineering environment supporting customers across upstream engineering, procurement, and construction management activities. The Senior Principal Electrical Engineer will work within multi-disciplinary project teams and may support projects delivered for both domestic and international customers.
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver electrical engineering services in line with customer requirements, applicable statutory and regulatory standards, project timelines, and budget expectations.
  • Initiate, manage, and where required supervise electrical engineering activities across assigned projects.
  • Act as electrical engineering lead on specific projects, defining requirements, assigning tasks, and supervising progress.
  • Participate in project meetings, prepare progress updates, and follow required checking procedures.
  • Ensure project scope is clearly understood and that changes are managed in line with project change processes.
  • Provide engineering support during procurement, construction, and commissioning, including preparing requisitions, completing technical bid evaluations, and writing purchase orders.
  • Proactively resolve technical discrepancies between project requirements and customer expectations.
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders and support junior members of the electrical engineering team where required.

    Extensive relevant experience within electrical engineering.
